Permitting
Let us do it for you

Applying for permits can be time consuming and a real challenge.
We can make the process almost completely painless.
Pages Lakescaping can assist you with permitting your Lakeshore restoration project through the necessary Government Agencies.   For Orlando the Two of the most common are:

1. Florida Department of Environmental Protection (FDEP)
Orange County Environmental Protection Division
Lakeshore Protection Permit (LSP)
Within Orange County, Florida, a lakeshore homeowner is entitled to vegetation free access corridor of 20% or 30 feet of total linear shoreline, whichever is greater, without a permit. If you want to remove vegetation outside of the access corridor then a Lakeshore Protection Permit (LSP) is required. This permit will allow you to remove nuisance and exotic vegetation; however, replanting of beneficial native species may be required to meet 80% coverage of native aquatic vegetation. The LSP permit will allow you to maintain the shoreline clear of nuisance and exotic vegetation as long as you sustain the obligatory 80% native plant coverage. Note that certain trees and endangered plants cannot be removed from the shoreline.  Boat docks are to be placed within the access corridor. This permit will allow the homeowner to clear below the Normal High Water Elevation (NHWE).

2. Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission
(FFWCC) Invasive Plant Management Permit
Using a fully online application The Bureau of Invasive Plant Management - A State Permit is required for the control of any aquatic vegetation pursuant to the rules of Chapter 62C-20 of the Florida administrative Code

On occasion Orange County will require an additional application when alterations are wanting to be done within a conservation easement...

Conservation Area Authorization (CAA)
Any native vegetation below the recorded wetland line above the Normal High Water Elevation is considered a Conservation Area. If any work is to be completed in this area such as removing nuisance and exotic vegetation a separate permit can be applied for this specific area or be completed as one in conjunction with the Lakeshore Protection Permit.

Instructions on how to start your FFWCC application
Permits must be obtained from Florida Fish & Wildlife for any shoreline alteration on lakes larger than 144 acres.  FFWCC is an online permit application that requires the homeowner to start the permit by answering a few questions.  You can then assign Pages Lakescaping to complete the application by uploading all the necessary information and drawings.  By following the links below you will be lead to the FFWCC 'New Registrant' page, and view detailed step by step instructions on how to get started.

CLEARANCE OF SHORELINE VEGETATION application
Orange COunty Authorized Agent Form
If you choose to have Pages Lakscaping apply for your permit, an authorized agent form will need to be signed, dated and notarized.

A lakeshore vegetation permit application will need to be applied for if any vegetation is to be removed outside the allotted  30' access corridor.
Orange County Sea wall or dredging permit application
A shoreline alteration permit may be required if you are installing a seawall or other structures to stabilize your shoreline. This type of permit is also needed for dredging, drag lining, filling, pumping of sand, or other alterations to the shoreline or lake bottom of our lakes or canals. All shoreline alteration projects require a public hearing and approval by the Orange County Board of County Commissioners.
